Responding To Problem as Jesus Would
REMEMBER THAT GOD'S PLAN IS GOOD
The plans I have for you (are) plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and future.
If you look at the world, you'll be distressed. If you look within, you'll be depressed. But if you look at Christ, you'll be at rest.
The secret of endurance is to remember that your pain is temporary but your reward will be eternal.
REJOICE AND GIVE THANKS
Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus - God wants you to thank him that He will use your problems to fulfill His purposes.
Rejoice in the Lord always. - You rejoice "in the Lord". No matter what's happening, you can rejoice in God's love, care, wisdom, power, and faithfulness.
REFUSE TO GIVE UP
Be patient and persistent. Character building is a slow process. Whenever we try to avoid or escape the difficutlies in life, we short circuit the process, delay our growth, and actually end up with a wrose kind of pain- the worthless type that accompanies denial and avoidance.
If you are facing trouble right now, don't ask, "Whey me?" instead ask, "What do You want me to learn?" Then trust God and keep on doing what's right.
Don't give up - GROW UP !

American creates a day for people to give thanks. I like the idea, eventhouhg I don't know exactly the history behind it.
But GIVING THANKS always a nice thing to do... Giving thanks to parents, family, special person, best friends, friends, and the last but not the least: to GOD.
Giving thanks is not something that hard to do; but sometimes it is hard to say it like u mean it, say it with attitude.
A special thanks for my dearest PINK, I know I am not a perfect man; but I know that God has sent you to me for a perfect reason. God knew that His drawing would not be perfect without the bright, smart, and happy PINK 'color' in my life. Thanks to be you dear... I love u ...

DO WE NEED A DAY CALLED CHRISTMAS ?
Hari sudah menunjuk pada pertengahan November... satu bulan lagi natal... Natal : saat memperingati kelahiran Kristus ke dalam dunia. Sudah berapa kali kita merayakan natal ? Bagaimana kita merayakannya ?
Saat blog hopping, saya pernah menemukan tulisan seorang blogger tentang natal. Secara extreme dia menolak untuk merayakan natal. Well... dia punya alasan yang cukup kuat... Alkitab tidak pernah menuliskan bahwa Kristus Yesus lahir pada tanggal 25 December. BETUL SEKALI ! Jadi dia meng-klaim bahwa orang-orang kristen yang merayakan natal di gereja itu dibodohi... malah mempraktekkan penyembahan kepada dewa matahari (dipercaya bhw 25 Dec ada hubungannya dengan itu).
Bagi si blogger, hari natal adalah saatnya menikmati SALE di department store dan liburan akhir tahun yang menyenangkan.
Pendapat si blogger itu benar secara harafiah... memang Alkitab tidak pernah mendeteksi kapan tanggal kelahiran Yesus... (dan saya pikir Tuhan sengaja tidak memberitahukan waktu khusus tanggal kelahirannya supaya tidak terjadi pengkultusan yang salah). Jadi mengapa gereja-gereja merayakan natal ??
Mari kita tepikan dulu perdebatan tentang tanggal kelahiran Kristus... dan lebih memfokuskan diri pada moment kehadiran Kristus ke dalam dunia.
Kapan pun itu, Yesus Kristus pernah turun ke dalam dunia: Kristus Yesus yang walaupun dalam rupa Allah, tidak menganggap keseteraan dengan Allah itu sebagai milik yang harus dipertahankan, melainkan telah mengosongkan diriNya sendiri dan mengambil rupa seorang hamba dan menjadi sama dengan manusia (Efesus 2:6-7).
Kedatangan Kristus ke dalam dunia adalah peristiwa yang mengawali peristiwa besar yang pernah terjadi pada sejarah manusia. Kristus yang adalah Allah - menjadi manusia untuk menggenapi janji Allah - " Ia (Kristus) telah merendahkan diriNya dan taat sampai mati, bahkan mati di kayu salib " (Efesus 2:8) - " ... supaya barangsiapa yang percaya kepadaNya tidak binasa, melainkan beroleh hidup yang kekal " (John 3:16)
Renungkanlah betapa besar keuntungan yang kita manusia dapatkan dari adanya Natal - kelahiran Kristus ke dalam dunia - yang mengawali peristiwa besar selanjutnya - Paskah: kematian Kristus di kayu salib dan kebangkitanNya dari maut.
Natal - saat Kristus lahir ke dalam dunia adalah :
1. Saat titik awal pengharapan bhw manusia punya kesempatan untuk diselamatkan dari hukuman dosa, LAHIR BARU dalam iman.
2. Saat titik awal kasih Allah yang besar itu dibuktikan - ALLAH yang BESAR rela menjadi manusia yang HINA. Suatu paradoks yang luar biasa - suatu teladan bagi kita manusia yang sering kali penuh kesombongan dalam mempertahankan harga diri yang hampa
3. Saat pembuktian kasih dan harapan dinyatakan bagi setiap orang - sekali lagi : SETIAP ORANG. Fenomena kelahiran Kristus dalam kesederhanaan, bersamaan dengan itu juga diiringi dengan kemegahan kidung para Malaikat; pernyataan kabar kelahiran Kristus kepada gembala yang kasar dan "hina" dibarengi dengan datangnya Majus dari Timur yang kaya, mewah walau 'asing'. Sekali lagi paradoks yang menggambarkan luasnya jangkauan kasih dan harapan yang Allah berikan kepada manusia - kepada Anda dan saya.
Sekarang, apakah menurut Anda saat kelahiran Kristus sangat layak untuk dijadikan suatu momentum sakral dan khusus untuk dirayakan?
Simeon dan Hana, dua orang kudus yang menantikan kedatangan Mesias sang juruselamat; merasa begitu bersukacita saat mereka dapat melihat sendiri bayi Kristus - bahkan mereka merasa siap untuk meninggalkan dunia setelah menggendong bayi Kristus - suatu momen yang tak terlupakan seumur hidup bagi Simeon dan Hana.
Bagi kita yang hidup jauh setelah jaman kehadiran Kristus di dunia; kita beruntung dapat mengetahui secara lengkap berita Natal itu. Jadi, bukankah sangat sangat dan sangat layak jika Natal menjadi suatu yang khusus ? 25 Desember bukanlah tanggal keramat - hanya sebuah tanggal - betul itu; tetapi momentum Natal itu yang kita peringati - bukannya sebuah tanggal.
Jika Anda kemudian berkata, " Ah, aku tidak perlu tanggal khusus untuk memperingati momen Natal; setiap hari, setiap tanggal bisa saja jadi hari Natal buatku"
Memang ungkapan itu terkesan bijaksana. Tetapi wahai KAWAN, jujurlah pada diri sendiri... seberapa sering pikiran Anda tertuju pada kebesaran NATAL? Natur manusia kita terlalu lemah untuk kita punya kemampuan dan kesadaran untuk mengingat peristiwa penting; begitu banyak hal yang manusia pikirkan, dan biasanya kecenderungan egois dan dosa lebih mendominasi dibandingkan pemikiran tentang Allah dan pengharapan Natal.
Sebulan menjelang natal..... (atau biasa disebut minggu-minggu advent).... mari kita berpikir lebih serius. Jadikan momentum ini sebagai suatu saat untuk berefleksi diri, untuk bertobat dari kekhilafan kita, untuk menanti kembali pengharapan dari Allah dalam penantian penggenapan keselamatan kita pada saat Maranatha, kedatangan Kristus kedua kali.

Friday evening..., infront of my laptop..., listening on the Irish hymns CD
Usually people hang out with friends at this time..., but unfortunate for me, i have no 'date' or 'appointment' with anyone today...
Well, but it is not the only Friday evening that I just have to stay alone in my dorm, and I think I get used to it... try not to depend on others to make my day
The semester almost end; exhausted? tired? Yeach, of course!! But still have to get everything done ~ nicely.... I have reported this issue in previous posting.
I am physically exhausted... well, it could be because of the season's changing... the dry and cold weather would make one feel tired and sleepy. It's not bcoz of lack of sleep, even I sleep for all day, the tiredness is still there....
I am emotionally exhausted; most probably because of the school routine has burnt me out... I put a lot of effort, consentration and focus on each of my study... the result turn out to be good though... I'm quite happy with that
I am spiritually exhausted; I could say this semester I have less quiet time with God (which is not so good... hmmm.. ) I realize that.. and have tried to fix and to discipline myself. Nevertheless issue of the church membership and the lack of spiritual friends here who could help and support my spiritual growth here. I hope that I may do better next time (next semester).
Some exciting things are waiting for me to freshen me up ....

~ Thanks giving break to Morgantown-West Virginia, wif my dearest Pink
~ Move out from the dorm and move in to a new apartment...
~ Christmas break ..... which no specific schedule planned yet !
